For over a quarter of a century, this life-changing personal development and meditation technique has been shared with countless individuals and groups across the UK and beyond, serving as a guiding light to positive change. My last Secret Garden Course was June 2024. I finally wrote the book of the course in 2023 and feel that as I retire its time to let the teaching side go. I have met many great people over the years, some of them taking the training course and using it within their own professional practice. I ran childrens summer and school art projects using the Secret Garden technique to guide the sessions. When I think how this all became possible because of a portion of sweet and salmonella chicken in 1991 and a trip to the Sahara Desert where I learnt how to meditate the following year, it really has been an incredible experience. My Grandmother, who made beautiful lace, taught me to crochet when I was a child. At the age of 15 I got a job as an outdoor crochet worker. By the time I was 16 my designs were in Biba London. I went on to become a Costumier and for 50 years designed, created and taught Crochet to thousands of beginners. In 2024 I retired but after a lifetime of teaching I doubt I will ever stop being Hooked on Crochet!

As a writer I am very fortunate to live in a Unesco City of Literature with access to the National Centre for Writing, @ Dragon Hall, Norwich where I regularly attend their events and workshops. Twice a year they hold a Publishing Fair where I have been able to have a stand, give talks and promote my books.

After 50 years of working as an artist and crafter you can imagine how much I have accumilated! I have had many Art & Craft Supplies sales over the years, both online, at my studio and at other venues across Norfolk. From Mega Retirement De-Stash to fabric, costumes, miniatures and amigarumi sales, Art Exhibitions much more. The biggest shocks come when I sell something I have had over 40 years - a bargain for the buyer and a bit more space for me!!! I had a lot of fun planning and running sales with my friend Sue Rudling when she had her Handmade Gifts & Gallery Shops in North Walsham and Norwich. Here are some of the sales over the years.

For many years I have taught Beginners Crochet and other workshops during Makers Festival at the Forum Norwich. This year I taught how to Paint & Stitch mini sketch books using a Japanese Sumi-e style technique. Another favourite is my Maze Books drop in sessions.
